Hub-and-Spoke model Africa Clinics
3 types of outpatient daycare health clinics:
- Model 1 – Medical Clinic with ER, Radiology & Pharmacy.
- Model 2 – Model 1 plus an Ambulatory or Day Clinic.
- Model 3 – Model 2 plus an Obstetrics and Gynecology unit.
Model 1 combines essential healthcare services under one roof. From emergency care to diagnostic imaging and pharmacy services, patients can rely on our medical clinic for comprehensive and immediate attention. With highly skilled medical staff and efficient processes, we prioritize patient comfort and rapid diagnosis, so you can rest assured that you’re in capable hands.
Model 2 expands on the services provided in Model 1, and incorporates an ambulatory or day clinic. This addition allows us to perform a wider range of medical procedures that don’t require an overnight stay. By offering a convenient alternative to hospitalization, we provide efficient and cost-effective solutions, reducing the burden on both patients and the healthcare system.
Model 3 adds a dedicated Obstetrics and Gynecology unit. This specialized unit combines day theater facilities with comfortable beds for procedures, ensuring a safe and seamless experience for expecting mothers. Our team, of experienced obstetricians and gynaecologists, is committed to providing personalized care, from routine check-ups to complex procedures.
The Hub-and-Spoke model for outpatient day care clinics is based on:
- Hub – This will be a model 3 clinic.
- Spoke – Multiple feeder clinics (Model 1) will be the spokes in surrounding suburbs of the same city. Although the spokes will have no theatre or beds, they will have an Out-Patient-Department (OPD), ER, and dispensary. They will also be developed in smaller cities as feeders to the main clinic.
- Referral – For patients who require further treatment or an overnight stay, partnerships with referral hospitals will be initiated.

The Ghana pre-feasibility study is concluded, while the feasibility study is expected to be concluded Q4 2023.
